Stop Winter Moth Devastation Before it Begins

Winter Moth (Operohtera Brumata) is an introduced pest with no natural predators. The Moths fly in the late fall/early winter, giving them there name. One female can lay as many as 250,000 eggs which hatch in early spring, as small green caterpillars feeding on swollen buds and leaves. Repeated years of defoliation can lead to severe decline and eventually tree mortality. Treatment must be applied in early spring.
